Classic Dark Chocolate Brownies
Classic Dark Chocolate Brownies – each bite has everything you could ask for in a brownie, when you bite into the crispy top and the gooey inside just melts in your mouth. It’s easy to make for a crowd, and you’ll be the hero at your next party.
This is for all you chocolate lovers (myself included). I have been thinking about these brownies for weeks now, ever since the last time I had a slice (kidding! I had of course at least 4 slices). It was impossible to get it out of my head.
I’m sure you know how it feels, if you’re a chocolate addict like me. I think of chocolate everyday, and trying to find ways to eat it even though it’s Monday (like this chocolate chia pudding, and this chocolate coconut overnight oats). But sometimes, we want the real deal.
And this is it!
Made with real chocolate, this is a decadent dessert that will force you into a happy chocolate dance. Anyone? No? Just me?
Classic Dark Chocolate Brownies is a cake that has endless possibilities, although I like mine simple. I want the chocolate gooeyness shine through, and not hide behind crunchy nuts or fruit. However, I totally understand if you would like to add nuts, fruit, chocolate frosting – or salted caramel.
Salted caramel, this I can understand, because this is probably heaven on earth and the best combination ever with chocolate. And guess what? Recipe of this is coming up, sometime in the future, haven’t quite decided when yet! I forgot the recipe for my salted caramel, so I have to make it again, so bear with me here. One can’t think of everything!
But fear not, this classic dark chocolate brownies shines perfectly on its own! I absolutely LOVE brownies, but my boyfriend is more of the chocolate cake kind of guy, meaning we almost never have brownies. Which is sad, and makes me think of brownies even more.
Looks like I could talk about brownies all day, but I should cut it short here and get straight to the recipe!
Classic Dark Chocolate Brownies
Melt the butter, remove the melted butter from the plate and let it cool slightly before adding in the chocolate. Let the chocolate melt. Whip eggs and sugar with a metal whisk. It should be airy, but not all the way to eggedosis. So stop once it gets air bubbles. Then, whisk in the chocolate butter. Sift flour, unsweetened cocoa powder and vanilla bean sugar into this mixture. Fold together. Be careful not to ruin the air bubbles, but making sure all the flour is incorporated.
Prepare a baking pan of 20×30 cm (8×12 inch) with a parchment paper. Pour the brownie batter into the pan. Bake on the middle rack at about 175C (350F). No fan, and for around 25-35 minutes. In my oven, 34 was good. But I suggest checking after 25 minutes. You can try to wiggle the pan and see if the middle of the cake is very shaky. And it’s very important that the brownie gets a nice crust, but other than that, stop at your own brownie doneness preference!
Cool a little before cutting into it, or it will be just one gooey mess. But a tasty mess nonetheless.
And if that’s not enough chocolate for you, here’s a few other tips:
- Chocolate Coconut Overnight Oats
- Peppermint Filled Dark Chocolates
- Chocolate Orange Cake with Buttercream Frosting
- Chocolate Coffee Cupcakes with Irish Baileys Frosting
- Rich and Decadent Hot Chocolate
- and so much more!
Hope you get a chance to try this Classic Dark Chocolate Brownies. I know probably everyone has their favorite recipe, but once in a while we should try a new one. 🙂
Have a wonderful day, everyone!
