Energizing Green Grape Smoothie with grapes and avocado for a quick and easy, fresh breakfast or snack! Get your body straight by fuelling it right. This green smoothie doesn't just taste amazing, it is healthy too (yes, in that order).

Energizing Green Smoothie

It's Monday morning, you feel a little groggy from all that salty and sugary food from the weekend. Yes, it seems like a good idea at the time (I know!), but you'll come to a point where you just don't feel too good about it anymore.

That's the kind of Monday I have today.

What can we do about it? Tons of things. First off, any green food is good food for you right? So we just collect all the delicious green food we can think of, and make a smoothie out of it. Must be healthy, but could it be tasty? YES. So tasty. When you add a banana and coconut milk, this feels and tastes amazing.

This green smoothie is packed with stuff that is good for your body. I'm no expert, but they say hemp seeds are good for battling obesity, high blood pressure and skin allergies. I meeean, that's easy when you can just add them in delicious smoothies! Avocados - the eyes. Chia seeds - the digestive system. Don't get me going on this.... Needless to say, it's amazing.

We don't have all day, do we, so just lets get cracking as Tom Haverford says (ugh seen too much Parks and Recreation too you know). Time to get the week straight, and we'll begin by making this deliciously healthy green smoothie!

Energizing Green Smoothie with Grapes and Avocado

I've actually been looking for ways to put mint into my smoothie without overpowering the taste, and it just works so well here. I got the recipe from What She Ate, and it tastes pretty darn good.

Unfortunately, the website no longer works, but you may be interested in knowing that I haven't done many alterations, because it works as is. However I needed a little bit of water and replaced flax seeds with chia seeds. All you need to to is blend all the ingredients together, and add more water if you feel like you need it. Sometimes, if the banana isn't ripened enough, you might feel that it's not sweet enough. Add a splash of honey, and you're good to go!

If you want other breakfast/post workout recipes, I can suggest these creamy scrambled eggs. They are the best!
