22 Hot Drinks to Keep You Warm this Fall

22 Cozy Hot Drinks for Fall Pinterest Pin 3.

22 Hot Drinks to Keep You Warm this Fall - this post is for you who love sipping on hot drinks during Fall. We've got the iconic pumpkin spice latte, decadent hot chocolates and some spiked cocktails - because we love it all!

The worst thing about Summer is the lack of hygge/kos or cozy atmosphere. There's no time to sit down with a good book or Netflix show, sip on your favorite hot drinks, and preferably with cookies nearby. Don't get me wrong, I love Summer, but this is the reason why it's okay to change seasons too.

So without further ado, here's 22 reasons why we love Fall!

1. Easy Pumpkin Spice Latte

We need to begin with the basics. The number one hot drink for Fall is definitely the pumpkin spice latte. And I totally get it! This coffee is flavored with real pumpkin puree, pumpkin pie spice and brown sugar. I think this is what is called heaven in a cup.

2. Starbucks Copycat Chai Tea Latte

A super simple recipe that will save you a ton of money this Fall. Just look at all that delicious froth! This round-up will make sure you actually don't have to step into Starbucks one single time (although I won't judge, we can have two chai lattes in a day).

3. Apple Caramel Latte Macchiato

Pumpkin is not everyone's cup of tea, and to get an equally iconic Fall experience, I'm sharing this apple caramel latte macchiato, because it tastes amazing and you should make it asap. I shouldn't need more reasons, it is apple - caramel - and coffee.

4. Hot Buttered Brandy Winter Drink

I've been thinking about hot buttered rum for ages, but I must confess I think hot buttered brandy sounds like the ultimate hot drink for Fall (and Winter). You get the silky smoothness of butter, brown sugar and warming spices such as cinnamon and clove. Bring it!

5. Rich and Decadent Hot Chocolate

Warming Rich and Decadent Hot Chocolate

Hot chocolate must be my one of my all time favorite hot drinks. The beauty of this one is that you can drink it all year long (as long as the temperature is bearable). Not like a mulled wine that is kind of only for Christmas. And hello, it's real chocolate.

6. Almond Milk Chai with Whiskey and Orange

Almond Milk Chai Hot Drink in a white and brown cup, garnished with oranges and cinnamon stick.

Of course we need some delicious vegan hot drinks as well! And this, my friends, looks like something I'd want to drink every day. Whiskey and orange is a match made in heaven, and adding the comforting and milky chai and I'm ready for anything.

7. Spiked Pumpkin Spice Latte

Take the classic PSL and add a creamy liquor and you are ready to conquer the world. Or at least the cold weather. The warming flavors of pumpkin and pumpkin spice work so well with all the creamy deliciousness.

8. Hot Spiced Cider Toddy Drink

Hot Spiced Cider Toddy in two clear mugs. Garnished with apple and orange slices and star anis.

One of those hot drinks that packs a punch, but a smooth one. Ever heard of that? It is simply an apple cider (bonus: here's my homemade version), extra spices and whiskey. I meannnn, I can't wait to make this. Maybe I can wait for the weekend, but only maybe.

9. Italian Bicerin Coffee Hot Drink

Hot Drink with coffee in a wine glass.

Is the Bicerin the Italians' best kept secret? It's a hot drink consisting of espresso, chocolate and milk or cream and it really looks like something I should have in front of me right now. Chocolate and coffee is a classic combination and I wouldn't have it any other way.

10. Rose Milk Tea

What a decadent and delicate hot drink! This drink uses a delicious rose syrup with a touch of hibiscus for that extra pop of color. It's easy to make, and easy to enjoy any time of the week (and day). And don't expect drinking rose milk tea will taste like soap, it's just a lovely floral hint.

11. Boozy Decadent Hot Chocolate

I love adding booze to my hot drinks, because somehow they become even more warming and comforting. Adding a touch of luxurious Baileys and this hot chocolate is on its way into my hot drinks rotation for sure.

12. Cleaner Apple Pie Alcoholic Hot Drink

All these drinks are pretty sweet, so it's nice to switch it up with a healthier take on them. This apple pie drink is bursting with flavors of apple and cinnamon, but with less sugar! And bonus: this makes a huge batch so you can serve a large crowd.

13. Chai Pumpkin Spice Tea

This spiced up chai tea is dead simple to make. It's just tea, with extra spices and sugar. And I'm not saying no to that! Even though it says pumpkin in the title, there is no pumpkin present. Pumpkin spice however, that is what makes this beautiful hot drink so flavorful!

14. Rüdesheimer Coffee with Brandy and Cream

This is a German sweetened coffee drink with brandy, topped with whipped cream and chocolate. Sounds like something for you? Me too. A hot and creamy, delicious treat! I'm so looking forward to trying this unique coffee.

15. Hot Mulled Apple Cider

Hot Mulled Apple Cider (Eplegløgg)

I think the second most iconic hot Fall drink must be this hot mulled apple cider. It takes advantage of the abundance of apples, and you can add as much sugar as you want, making it a potentially not so bad drink either! And the better the apples, the better the apple cider.

16. Skinny Caramel Mocha

Now I can have a caramel mocha every day! It's so much better to make these drinks at home, because 1. it's way cheaper, 2. you can control the ingredients, and 3. it's usually a lot tastier too! Sorry Starbucks. We don't need you anymore.

17. Brown Sugar Cardamom Latte

Cardamom latte in two cups, crackers on the table. Flatlay.

Another beautiful alternative to the pumpkin spice latte. Cardamom is a popular spice here in Norway, usually used in buns and doughnuts, but seems like the US has forgotten about this little gem. It has such a unique flavor, and I cannot wait to make this cardamom latte!

18. Caramel Apple Cider Hot Toddy Drink

I am in loove with the flavors in this hot toddy drink! I mean, caramel and apple is a glorious combo. And I just love a good hot toddy, although a toddy is usually made with blackcurrants in Norway, I can't wait to try this spin on it!

19. Maple Pecan Latte

Hands holding a white cup with hot maple pecan latte and whipped cream. Red scarf.

In this latte you get the flavor of Fall using maple and pecan and I love it. They do use a French press to get the flavor from the pecans without using any fancy nut syrup. Finally I see a good use for my French press! So much better than Starbucks.

20. Mexican Tres Leche Coffee

Mexican tres leches coffee in a clear cup, topped with whipped cream.

Once the cold is sneaking in, the mountains of whipped cream are getting taller. And I can't say I'm sorry about it. As the name suggests, this coffee uses three different kinds of milk: sweetened condensed milk, fat-free evaporated milk and half and half. If there's no milk in my coffee, I won't drink it. THIS sounds like my jam!

21. Medjool Date “Golden Milk” Turmeric Latte

Yellow hot drink with turmeric and dates, garnished with powdered spices.

Golden milk, or turmeric latte, is very beneficial to your health. So why not make a delicious cozy and hot drink out of it? This drink is vegan, paleo and Whole 30 friendly so zero guilt is allowed when consuming this amazing golden beverage.

22. Spiced Milk and Honey Hot Drink

I'm finishing this round-up with a classic with a twist! Warm milk with honey is a delicious and comforting combination, and in this recipe there are some extra spices such as vanilla, cardamom and cinnamon. It's the perfect drink for any occasion.
